Since 2006 The Arc Baltimore has recognized selected companies that directly employ individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These companies are Employers of Distinction that have made it possible for particular achievement and success for the Arc supported workers they employ. Since 2009, The Arc has also recognized companies as Partners of Distinction that contract The Arc for services in landscaping, janitorial, and workforce support.
